My Love Affair with FUR... It began early and innocently enough at the age of 5. My Mother would often take me with her shopping and I recall it being a long and sometimes tiring day out. She liked to go to larger department stores and a few of them had fur salons within the shops. My mother was a creature of habit and was a regular at several of these stores. Over time, I was allowed to stay and play quietly in the fur department as my Mother did one or two things on her own. This type of set up would never fly in today's world, which makes me all the more grateful for this special experience in which I was allowed to indulge. I discovered some innate, deeply seated familiarity with and affinity for these furs. The feel of them was a delight and the fragrance of them was intoxicating... and then the pretty appearance... it was all too much! But they were luxuries beyond my family's means, so it was only something I could experience in passing like this. Growing up, I was naturally drawn towards glamorous images of women in furs that one would see much more frequently in movies, tv shows, on celebrities, etc than you see today. That all said, let's fast forward to the early 2000's and my days working for myself as a professional dominatrix. I was working in Columbus, Oh renting dungeon space from another established Mistress but I was still living in my hometown of Dayton. I met a client who would become a devoted regular, a great friend and support and patron whom I shall only refer to as M. It didn't take too long for my childhood interest in furs to become known to him before he began showering me with soft and delectable fur goods. We became regulars at the local fur salon, which is now sadly closed. This is how I ended up working for a Master Furrier and learning to sew by hand as his "Hand Finisher." It is only due to M's generosity that I have any of the furs I now own. I was a very lucky woman to have such a loving friend and playmate... he was one in a million! Sadly, after being at my side and a reliable helper for almost two decades, he was unable to continue to be part of my life due to personal reasons of his. Now, more than a year and a half later, I still have not really gotten over the loss of this man who meant so much to me for so long. The symbiotic relationship we shared was a lovely thing, as he truly enjoyed providing for and helping me as much as I enjoyed being his ideal fantasy, his Mistress. I have quite a large collection of furs after all the years I was privileged enough to be spoiled thusly! One day, I will have space to set them all out together and I'll make a video of and speak about each piece and how it came to me.
