The Mint Julep dates back to 1783, and was officially tied to the Kentucky Derby in 1938, when it was declared the official drink of the sporting event. Mint is highlighted here, for a refreshing, sipping drink, made to enjoy while watching horse races, or whatever sport you enjoy ! Rating: 2 ā so easy to make ! The Drink: 2 ounces bourbon whiskey ā I used Makerās Mark Simple syrup 2 Tablespoons of water Mint leaves š Drop 6 mint leaves, water and simple syrup, and muddle together. Add ice and Makerās Mark, stir together, add some mint sprigs and enjoy ! Donāt forget to tip your favorite bartender š
