This Christmas I want to be able to help in some small way, so I have chosen United For Iran as our December fundraiser. It seeks to provide legal aid, internet access, mental health services, and more to the people of Iran, in hopes that this brutal regime does not claim more lives than it already has. Reading about the current protests in Iran has truly shown me just how fortunate we all are- people younger than I am are having to choose between silence and fighting for their rights, and despite the risks, they are standing up and not allowing themselves to be silenced.
