It’s always been a daily process that helps with my mental health and physical health. Fitness is medicine and is the one thing I can do daily to assist me being well and healthy in my life. Working on my real wealth my health through fitness is a gift and must. The older I get the more important it becomes. After a kid the ripple effect is really highlighted how if we do not help ourselves we can never help those around us. Just like putting a mask on first in a plane. At 20 fitness looked different to late 30s. However fitness is and will always be a part of the journey for me, to be able create a joyful and good life for me. I do not have time. I make time. Because we make time for what is important. It is never easy choosing but I’ve learned the hard way through depression and mental health challenges, it is a must for me. It is one thing that makes me feel better I can do. At 20 fitness was about focusing on the outside because I didn’t understand that ripple effect for others or my mental health so well. I did notice that it helped me stay calm and full of energy. However, it’s main focus was always about being better than yesterday, faster, stronger and do more. Now in my late 30s it’s about quality, feeling better and moving more efficiently. Sure I can do more now than in my 20s but thats not what it’s about. In my late 30s, it’s about I can feel well in a body that is giving me the gift to create life and do the things I need and want to do whilst enjoying it. What does fitness look and feel like for you? Has it changed over the years? Is it and internal or an external focus?
