✈️ 🚂 🚙 …*Planes, Trains, & Automobiles*! I’m feeling two things this week: Nostalgic & Adventurous! I’ll start with Adventurous. Vegas changed me! I hadn’t traveled in a long time. We’ve driven on family trips (Disney several times, the mountains, etc) but flying on a solo trip…THAT’S been awhile. The great sex aside…what was so needed was that I was Elena. I wasn’t a wife, a mom, a coworker, a friend…I was traveling as myself! And I so needed that! Sitting alone, at the pool, having the hotel all to myself (with no one adjusting the temp to freezing…ahem Drew), no p-ee to wipe from the turlet seat (boys!)…that time for myself has me wanting MORE. I need more trips like that! I want to see more, do more! I’ll start locally but as soon as another opportunity presents itself..I’m taking it. Adventure awaits!!! I think my thoughts of adventure have me thinking of the beach…South Beach & News Cafe when I was in high school. Our hot Nordic server, Sven, who served us wine every weekend when our parents thought we were at the movies! The alternative clubs we’d dance at till sunrise! The corner bodega where we’d buy a huge bottle of wine, sit on the beach at night & pass the bottle around till it was empty. Then dance & make-out with guys inside the club. My best memories are South Beach…BEFORE it became trendy and the Hot place to be! And so I was listening to The Pixies on the way to work last night, and Janes Addiction, and thinking of my love for Robert Smith and Morrissey. Maybe it all surfaced cause I heard from my high school bestie the other day; she bought concert tix for us for summer. Or maybe it’s my sense of adventure kicking in..wanting to see the beach, to dance, to pass a bottle of wine back & forth and laugh & kiss all night. These are my thoughts & mood. But Spring has sprung and I will be acting on my instincts to live, love, and have some amazing adventures! Now let’s reminisce about this sexy adventure between @dfwknight and I…it’s just too damn sexy not to give it another look!
