The first story I chose was one of my first exercises, a flash fiction called "Bear's Desk Pet.". Early on I was very rusty and just trying to create brief little exercises to get back into writing. This short 600-word piece serves as a good trial for narration. Looking back I can see how far the writing has come in the last year!
