Their first attempt at polyamory involved the guy dating and sleeping with a former girlfriend. It didn’t work out well for the couple. The fact that there was prior history between the guy and his former girlfriend prompted overwhelmingly uncomfortable feelings of jealousy for the girl, and it started to impact their happiness in their own relationship.
These are the risks of stepping out of your sexual or relationship box...which is why you have to go into swinging and/or polyamory with a rock solid relationship based on TONS of communication and self-evaluation. Otherwise it will be fun for a minute, and then the whole thing could blow up in your face...and not in a good way 😉😈
