They shouted and waved their arms, desperately hoping Charlie would sense their presence before it was too late. Charlie, absorbed in his own thoughts, continued on his oblivious path toward the room. The ground beneath him trembled with every step, amplifying the fear in Oliver and Max's hearts. They had to act quickly if they wanted to avoid being crushed under Charlie's massive feet. Max, the more agile of the two, mustered up his courage and darted toward Charlie's path, maneuvering through the treacherous landscape of cracks and gaps in the floorboards.
