Unpacking & getting settled can feel good & remind us of things we forgot we had or things that we would like to get!

I am so thankful to have made it to Anchorage, Alaska! It was the longest journey here! It was challenging & beautiful at the same time. Chilly nights in the van & long days full of mostly driving ( And trying not to drive each other crazy 🤪)
But finally we are here in our new home. In our own room & I can snuggle up on a real bed!
Between both of our backs getting super compressed & our bodies stiff from all the sitting…To say the journey here was challenging is almost an understatement. 😅
It was mentally and physically exhausting. Almost 4,000 miles later we are here!
We had our first few gym sessions & it definitely is starting to help bring our mobility back to normal. Def feeling so sore today 🙈
I had a bit of a rough morning yesterday. I woke up frustrated when I tried to decided what I should wear… most of my clothes are geared towards Las Vegas’s sunny warm skies!
I felt like such a winer as I found myself crying because I’m not used to the new temperatures for this time of year.
I didn’t want any part of me exposed to the chilliness.
I know right…it’s not that cold! 🥶 😂
But during this adjustment period I though maybe if you felt it on your heart to take a peak at my wish list I’ll be adding things as I figure out what will help me adjust to Alaska as my new home. I just would like to feel comfortable.

Update from Alaska!!! Omg the drive seemed to take forever. My back was giving me problems the entire way. Starlink didn’t work with all the trees around. The last 1000 miles had barely any cell service. It was a mental and physical challenge for us. But we are here now and can focus on therapy for my back and searching for a slice of land to call our own! Excited for the summer!

Steady trekking on the Alcan Highway. Had no cell service for the past almost 1000 miles. Passed thru a town to grab enough service to post this. Canadian limits is 2 gigs a day. Hopefully across the Alaska border in the next day or 2.

Putting miles behind us today. We can only travel about 4 hours a day. My AS flares up pretty quick and we have to stop. You probably can’t tell from the pics but I’m in pain in every one of them. Looking forward to getting linked up with my mobility doctor in Anchorage. I just gotta get there. 3,000 miles left to go. 😬
